About the Quarterly Awards

In line with our Strategic Goal in being the leading provider of premier sports and events facilities, the Employee of the Quarter Programme was initiated to recognize outstanding Fiji Sports Council (FSC) employees, who consistently demonstrate a high degree of excellence, professionalism, and integrity in the performance of his/her duties, and to acknowledge their contribution to FSC.

The programme is intended to encourage quality work, continuous improvement, teamwork, customer service, resourcefulness, and dedication. The programme recognizes that FSC employees are the source of our strength, reputation, and innovation.

This Employee of the Quarter Programme began in the second quarter of 2011 and continues to date. Staff achievements are recognised accordingly – Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Nomination/ Voting

Nominations can be submitted by any permanent staff at the Fiji Sports Council, regardless of position.

Once a nomination is received, the Manager People’s Capability and Culture will review each nomination to confirm eligibility. If the nomination meets with Council’s criteria, eligible nominations will then be forwarded to the Chief Executive Officer for final selection.

Nominations will be considered for a total of three (3) consecutive months. If selected, the employee and director will be notified, and a letter acknowledging their selection sent to the employee, with a copy placed in their file. Nomination forms are available with the People’s Capability and Culture Department.

The person making the nomination is asked to provide the nominee’s name and a summary of 50(min) to 100(max) words explaining why the nominee should be considered using the Fiji Sports Council values of Service Excellence, Passion, Ownership, Respect and Team work.

Presentation of Awards

Presentation of the Employee of the Quarter Awards are presented at our Quarterly staff lunch. Award winners will be presented with certificates recognising their efforts.
