The Fiji Sports Council wishes to inform its valued patrons that it is currently conducting a comprehensive review of all its venue use rates.

“This review exercise aims to ensure equitable and sustainable pricing structures that cater to the diverse needs of athletes, organisers, and enthusiasts, who use Fiji Sports Council venues,” Fiji Sports Council Chairman Gilbert Vakalalabure said.

Fiji Sports Council Mums & Bubs Wellness Event Encourages Active Lifestyle

The Fiji Sports Council, in partnership with Nappy Time is hosting a three-day Mums and Bubs Wellness Programme on May 8-10 at the FMF Gymnasium.

“The Mums and Bubs Wellness Programme supports the theme that a healthy mum makes a healthy family. While we commemorate the role women/mothers play on a specific day of the year, we acknowledge the beacon they are to influence decisions on a daily basis, starting from the home,” Acting Chief Executive Officer, Fiji Sports Council, Gilbert Vakalalabure, said.

Fiji Sports Council Executive Board Appointees

The newly appointed Executive Board of Directors of the Fiji Sports Council first met on Tuesday, 14th of March, led by its Chairman, Mr Gilbert Vakalalabure.

The members of the Executive Board are: Chairman Vakalalabure; Deputy Chairman, Mr Peter Mazey; Board Secretary, Mr Joseva Sania; Mr Nouzab Fareed; Ms Della Shaw Elder; Mr Rajesh Singh; Mr Peniasi Sokia; Mr Semesa Karavaki; Permanent Secretary for Finance, Mr Shiri Krishna Gounder; and Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports, Mr Rovereto Nayacalevu.

HFC Bank Stadium Hosts 2023 Schools Inter-House Competition

More than 15 schools have pre-booked the use of the tracks at the Fiji Sports Council’s HFC Bank Stadium venue, commencing the fourth week of February through to the fourth week of March.

“The Fiji Sports Council is pleased to host Fiji schools’ athletics competitions this year at our flagship venue, HFC Bank Stadium,” Fiji Sports Council Chief Operations Officer, Ashni Sharma said.
